“Apple has announced 10.13 High Sierra will be released September 25th. Wacom is currently working on a new driver update to support the new operating system. The new Wacom driver will be ready by late October at the latest. Due to nature of the changes in High Sierra, the existing Wacom driver for 10.12 will not work. I have on old Wacom (PTZ-631W) which I believe is from the Intuos 3 series. I’ve been using this tablet without issues on my iMac which is running Yosemite 10.10.5. Has anyone had experience or seen direct confirmation of these older tablets running in Mac OS Sierra? My searches have yielded results that were pretty much all from the overall problems with Sierra that Wacom was having after the new OS was released. It’s therefore difficult to tell whether any mentions of Intuos 3 tablets with Sierra were specific to that generation of tablet or inclusive of the Overall problems Wacom was having with the new OS. I’m now in a bit of a quandary. I’m a Capture One 8 user and would like to upgrade to C1 10. However, Capture One 10 requires a minimum of El Capitan to run. I’d therefore be facing an upgrade of my machine to Sierra. The latest Intuos 3 driver on Wacom’s site is listed as ”MacOSX - Driver 6.3.15-3 (10.9x - 10.11x)”. ![]() I’m obviously concerned that an OS upgrade could render my tablet useless if the Wacom driver doesn’t work on Sierra. Come on Wacom what's going on, I CAN'T WORK!! My pen keeps freezing when clicking! And other problems! I've tried reverting to older drivers and doesn't do anything:( anyone got around with this?? I've tried my Intuos 4 and Intuos 5 with diferent pens and it keeps happening!! The only time it works fine is when NO drivers are instaled, but I can't work in Mouse Mode as you shall know. EDIT: I tried everything everyone said, nothing worked, I reverted back to El Capitan and it's GREAT again!! About Wacom, they really need some strong competitors otherwise. It will be like this. Same happening to me. I installed Sierra the other day after noticing a couple of weird things with the wacom in Yosemite I hadn't noticed before. I tried using my Intuos3 in Sierra and the same exact things happened. No ability to click, things freezing. I tried a bunch of things (trying new drivers, plug in, etc) and nothing worked. I decided to use time machine to revert back to Yosemite so it at least works for the most part. ![]() Currently looking for a replacement drawing tablet b/c my work depends on this. Please update if you figure anything out! The problem is the majority of the Intuos line from intuos4 and up are lumped into the same driver. As your tablet ages you are using the latest driver tailored for the latest tablet and features. This is where my problems arise. Currently the driver is so bad that Wacom has left an older stable driver up on the site while they sort out the mess the new one created. I've debated the older pro as well and it'll be the most stable given you win the OS, apps, and driver combination lottery.
