I have the monitor set up as a second screen connected to my laptop. Whenever I open the program, all tabs are grayed out (un-clickable) except the 'settings' tab. When I access it from the task bar, all split screen options are there, but are grayed out as well. When initially opening the software, a windows notification says: 'If the connected monitor supports OnScreen control, please reconnect the monitor to your pc' but this does not solve the issue. I have downloaded all drivers from LG website for the product, any thoughts? Monitor is fantastic, although I upgraded from a older dell ~20' screen so it wasn't hard to beat. With my current setup connected through HDMI on a laptop, OnScreen doesn't have all the split screen features (may need to be connected through dp) but I am able to split the screen between the different HDMI and dp inputs which is nice. (Any split screen features is just a bonus to me, as I would not use it on the regular) Audio is nice to have when Im playing through my xbox, though I still wish it had an 'audio out' so I can connect it to my speaker system. This obviously isn't a problem when connected to PC. Last point is that I do like the adjustable height and tilt, even though I will be looking to wall mount soon. I think this monitor is one of the best ultrawide deals out there without jumping to the curved displays which can easily double the price • • • • •. I am also seeing the same message while using HDMI with a LG 64UM88-P monitor. I have a PC with a Thunderbolt port (using USB-C) as well as a mini-display port PORT on my laptop. I will have to get a mini-display port to display port to see if that solves my problem. I do not know of a solution that may be worthwhile for Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 cable. I do not know if that is better performance but I am sure display port will be fine.
